Delta Zeta Pledge Class, 50th Homecoming Update

Greetings brothers, alumni, and friends! This is our first update in a couple of months. The highlights of our chapter since the last update (49th Homecoming update) aren’t many in number. The two main developments in our chapter are the addition of the Delta Zeta pledge class and some preliminary information regarding the 50th Homecoming.

First, let me introduce you to the Delta Zeta pledge class of Sigma Nu at Western Kentucky University:

The new pledges are, in alphabetic order:

  • Bertram, Benjamin Lee – Jamestown, KY
  • Bonamarte, Ryan Emmett – Lake Geneva, WI
  • Brown, Samuel James – Nicholasville, KY
  • Dorris, Aaron Patrick – Henderson, KY
  • Gonzalez-Guzman, Jesus Daniel – Somerset, KY
  • McDermott, Chavis Davies – Bowling Green, KY
  • McDermott, Weston Jon – Bowling Green, KY
  • Mowery, Andrew Dean – Tell City, IN
  • Ramsey, William Miller – Bowling Green, KY
  • Stephens, Garret Bryce – Bowling Green, KY
  • Verneuille, Chase Morgan – Roseville, CA
  • Williams, Ted Nelson – Greensburg, KY

The new Delta Zeta pledge class is a great one, with an average college GPA of 3.4. We have high expectations for these men. We hope you will support them during their pledge semester in hopes of them initiating in twelve weeks.

This brings our total chapter to a size of 106 men. This is the first time a fraternity has had 100+ members at Western Kentucky in 5 years. We have made enormous strides in manpower and recruitment to make this fraternity one of the best at WKU.

Finally, WKU released the homecoming date for 2015. It will be Saturday, November 7th. Homecoming activities will be going on throughout the weekend. The theme is “Fifty Years of Greeks.” Please RSVP for this event on Facebook by clicking here: https://www.facebook.com/events/1611039219109085/ . Make sure your contact information is accurate within our system as well as we will be sending out information over the next several months regarding details as they become available. A hotel block has been reserved, and will be available starting February 16th. Make sure to grab a room before they are gone. Our initial estimates are guessing 350+ alumni will make the trip to Bowling Green for this historic year, and it will be full of events you will NOT want to miss.

See everyone in November,

Love, Honor Truth,

Cyrus J Sadrinia, HP 922
